Mood Food - Customer Reviews

Mood Food is an experience developed in San Francisco, offering listeners an interactive energetic playground. The music is driven by the four elements of funk, jazz, blues, and rock, yet allows itself to be drawn by the moment to discover a diverging path. The group continually pushes the envelope of musical boundaries, stretching the expectations of its audience.

The six members of Mood Food play to serve the audience a listening experience like no other.

Tom Lattanand is a classically trained musician who excells in bread baking. He is the founder of the *New Starch* Bread Co., based in seven US cities. They create a delicious variety of sweet breads, perfect for any situation. The dough is formulated to achieve the taste of the smell you can never taste. Its texture is moist, with a touch of satisfaction in every bite.

Mitch Marcus is a former member of the punk group, "Scumsh*ts." After 16 hard years of touring without an album release, he decided to end his punk rock career following a bizarre injurous breast signing incident. He joined Mood Food in a desperate effort to erase all memory.

Sylvain Carton is The Man. He does not actully know how to play any intruments, but Nabisco offered us a year supply of Cheezits if we would take their Executive Vice President (Mr.Carton) away and lose him in a mob of screeming 16 year old girls in a city like Detroit where he would have no reason to maintain his real identity and hopefully change his name and disappear.

Andrew McIntyre is a member of the Society of Human Research Accidents. In an effort to create a new dominant species by splicing human genes with those of the aliens they keep in Area 51, they screwed up and made Andrew. Despite years of therapy, he went through stages of violent crime targeted at individuals wearing capri pants. The city of San Francisco decided that these crimes were not worthy of a jail sentence and placed him in a bread baking factory where he met Tom.

John Merrill just appeared one day. Please quit asking us where he came from.

Charlie Hall?s synchronized swimming career came to an end after he was sexually harrased on a European beach and developed a speedo phobia. He liked to put on a speedo sometimes to remind himself of the good old days, but it eventually made him uncomfortable. Quality counseling and determination have brought Charlie a long way, and today we are proud to say that he is swimming again.

Mood Food plays regularly in the Bay Area and is currently in the middle of their first album release. Within this last year, Mood Food has been playing Bay Area venues such as the Elbo Room, The Sweetwater, and the Last Day Saloon, and has taken part in the Haight/Ashbury Street Fair.

Amidst the atmosphere of a Mood Food experience, groove-loving participants fill the air with the vibrations of their ecstatic release, while others simply bathe in the wash of sensory perception. The goal is to infect people with the energy of life by means of a sneak attack on their soul. The flavors of Mood Food envelop their listeners with a complex interweaving of musical styles, and demand that their bodies respond accordingly through dancing. Mood Food is not only food for the mood, it is food for the soul, nourishing the joy juices of all beings.
