California Dreamin is a result of two of the most influential band leaders
in the Bay Area putting they're two cents together to create a dynamic duo of
high level musicianship. With over 65 years of combined performance experience,
California Dreamin can cover just about any and every genre of music imagineable.
When your budget is tight and you need some bang for your buck California Dreamin
is the duo for you.
Ken Cooper is one of the best liked and respected musicians in the Diablo Valley
area. The talented guitarist-singer can be seen every week performing with one
of his great bands or solo. He is very versatile and can rock out on a
big stage or play gentle music in an intimate restaurant.
A longtime career musician, he also has a recording studio/production company
where he arranges, performs and records original music,
Country Clubs, Hotels, Winerys, Churches, Resorts, Fairs and Auditoriums are
other venues where he regularly plays music.
He has been the opening act for Rock Legends Roger McGuinn and Dave Mason and
Folk Legend John Stewart among others.
David Martin's House Party has been doing special events for over 20 years
now; doing upwards 75 shows a year all over the U.S. and here in Northern California.
Fortunately our San Francisco Bay Area based "allstar" ensemble has
gained a remarkable reputation for our enthusiastic performances, incredible
musical variety, and extreme care for our clients.
The strengths of DMHP's presentation are indeed our overall sound and visual
variety, musicianship, flexibility, and energy! We have a vast repertoire of
over 600 songs; accordingly the band can "turn on a dime" musically
and loves surprising our audiences. We can go from 40's Glen Miller or jump
jive swing to 2011's "dancebeat" or "Widespread Panic" independent;
from 60's Beatles and Motown to Reggae to Country to Sinatra to 70's Disco /
R & B to 80's "New Wave" and AC/DC "Classic Rock" to
50's Elvis to New Latin/Salsa to Broadway Show Ballads to "The Dave Mathews
Band" to Hip Hop "Black Eyed Peas"! Our goal is always to satisfy
as many ages, tastes, and cultures that might be represented at your party.
