David A. Stillman is co-founder, with business partner Lynne Lancaster, of BridgeWorks, a company dedicated to speaking, writing, training, entertaining, and consulting on generational issues in the workplace and the marketplace. One of the youngest keynote speakers to hit the national circuit and over the past decade, David has been engaged by numerous organizations ranging from the IRS to MTV—all grappling with how to connect with four distinct generations of employees and customers. His keynote speeches and workshops on generational issues in the workplace and marketplace receive rave reviews from client companies and associations nationwide.
In addition to speaking, David is co-author of the lively, entertaining and savvy best-seller When Generations Collide: Who They Are. Why They Clash. How to Solve the Generational Puzzle at Work (HarperCollins 2002). He has appeared nationally on CNN, CNBC, and the Today show and has contributed to such esteemed publications as TIME magazine, Entrepreneur, American Demographics, The New York Times, and USA Today.
In 2005, fulfilling a long-time ambition, David wrote and produced TimesFour, a corporate entertainment one-man show performed by a professional comedian. TimesFour is breaking new ground in the corporate entertainment market as one of the first productions to offer more than just entertainment; it has true strategic content and value.
David’s creative communications work earned him numerous accolades over the years, including gold medals at the New York Film Festival and the much coveted CLIO Award. And because of his impressive achievements and community involvement, he was names to the prestigious list of “Forty Under 40” movers and shakers by The Business Journal.
Prior to launching BridgeWorks, David worked for ABC television in New York City as an intern for PrimeTime Live. Later with CBS radio, he embarked on a round-the-world trip covering such events as the end of apartheid in South Africa and the fall of the former Soviet Union. Upon his return to the U.S., David became creative director for a multimedia and computer-based training firm. Working with clients such as 3M, American Express, and Wells Fargo he soon concluded that communication strategies that hit the hot buttons of one generation often missed the mark with another. Thus lead to the creation with Lynne Lancaster of BridgeWorks.
David is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with B.A. degrees in Communications and Sociology. He was selected as a fellow for the Michigan State University Mass Media in Britain program and studied in London with the BBC. Most recently, David received a certificate in non-profit management through the University of St. Thomas.
